When one gets into a group of people who know french pottery, a number of themes come up.

When one wants only the finest of french pottery, the same old names keep coming up again and again.

Of course, one of the mainstays in the pottery field is, of course, clay pottery and we all know  of it’s worth and value.

Clay pottery is probably the oldest  of all of the potteries and it will probably be around for another ten thousand years.

Such things like glazed pottery are known to a lesser group of people, but are still a staple in the pottery field and have a great following.

It seems, that in any type of pottery, the quality of the pottery is what we all look for and of  course that can only be found in one of kind, hand crafted pottery.

If one wants just to look at pottery in a money situation, well we all know that department store merchandise will suffice.

But for the person who will only purchase the very best of things for their homes, then handcrafted pottery is the only way they will go.

I always am in the hunt for the best in life, even if it’s  not pottery, then I’m looking for gourmet foods, wines, automobiles and any other thing that is made one at a time.

These things might look expensive, but in the long run, they turn out to be quite inexpensive due to their long life and durability.
